3i Convention
Finally is the actual things. After a few meeting & the set up we did yesterday. This afternoon will be the real event. We were told, there will be a dry run in the morning. Were told to meet up at 8.30am, but later on they discover that Singapore Discovery Centre open @ 9am only. So they changed the time to be 9am.
Not all the NS boys are to told to reach there for the dry run. From the east part of Singapore, Kelvin will be meeting up Stanley. As for the west part of Singapore, i organised to meet up Chris & Desmond. Planned to meet up Desmond at Clementi MRT station @ 8.20am, after meeting Desmond. We will proceed to take taxi to meet up Chris along the way, at Lakeside MRT Taxi stand @ 8.40am.
I managed to reach Clementi at around 8.25am, thought that Desmond might be there already. But when i reached, then i found out that he have not reached. So i called him up then he tell me he on his way -_-". Waited till around 8.40am, then he finally arrived : {. So we proceed to take a cab to pick Chris up at Lakeside Taxi stand. At around 8.55am, we meet up Chris -_-". So we told the taxi driver, next stop SDC. Managed to reach there at around 9.10am.
We went canteen to get a bite on something. After my food, i was told to meet at the Theatrette. My role is to be in charge of the backstage of the Theatrette. There will be a launch of a new web site - OE website. Then 1 of our staff will be sharing how to use it. GOH (Guest Of Honor) will also be making a speech, and then give up prize there.
List of things to do -
(1) Click on the slides during prize presentation. (Slides with their names)
(2) The sound system. (Background music & Video music)
(3) Lights
(4) The projection. Switching from inside laptop to outside laptop
We had a dry run, then i roughly get a idea on what i should be doing. But after the dry run, Takashi is needed to do some edit to the words in the video. Comments on the time given to him to edit? Quite tight, Jamie to in charge for the event. Is getting very worried, because he is still editing while the GOH is going to reached. Because he is also needed to video take the arriving of GOH. Other then this, all went very smoothly. Haiz.
After the event, we are free to walk around the Centre. All of us a each given a ticket for the exhibition & Video/Movie screening at iWERKS Theatre. A few of us went to watch the 3D show, then they wanna catch the second show. But to their disappointment, the 2nd show is not 3D type. Lucky Siew Ling & Me never go and watch.
After that show, the timing is just nice. We can go take the free shuttle bus, which will lead to Boon Lay MRT then last stop NPPK. Steven & I drop, then we went JP walk 1 round. He went to shoot ball at the arcade. Nothing more to go, we head off home.
I did my swim, around 30 laps =)
