Test Water @ ECP
At first we planned to go test water yesterday. But in the morning when i woke up. Then i discover that the weather is not very good, dark sky plus raining. So we changed to today then we go. Because my open water swim is next Sunday, need to test water because i was not very used to swimming in the sea -_-"
So as usuall, i go eat breakfast with my family. Then after i reached home, i meet up with Ivan on MSN. Then we discuss what time is good for us to meet and swim. So we planned to meet at Kallang MRT station at 1.30pm. From there we will be taking a cab down to our destination [East Coast Park, Sector E2 (Bedok Jetty)]. We took a cab because there is no bus service to there. Normally people go ECP, by their own transport. Or they take a bus down to the HDB area, from there. There will be a underpass leading to ECP Mac. But if we want to walk from mac to Sector E, that is a insane way. Damn freaking far ... -_-. So our cab driver took us to the nearest carpark, near to bedok jetty. Then we from there slowly find the exact location that i will be swimming next week.
1st problem we encountered, we dont know where to keep our belonging. Looking around we saw that there is a renting of Roller Blades & Bicycle. There we saw some lockers, so we decided to put our valuables in. Then we just take our Towel, Short & T-Shirt. Because after our swim, we will just clean dry and wear back our clothes.
2nd problem pop out, we do not know where we should put this piece of our things. Ivan suggest just put on any bench around. -_-" we are at the beach, there will be wind blowing. Won't the wind blow our things away? I do not wish to walk home top empty or bottom empty -_-. Looking around, we try to look for a friendly & trusty family, who are having a Picnic or BBQ there.
1) Why look for friendly & trusty peoples?
What do you think? Will you look for a group of Ah Beng, to help to look after your things? I do not want my things to go and never return, or come back in lots of holes.
2) Why Picnic or BBQ groups?
Because we might be swimming for more then an hour. So those people having picnic or BBQ there. Normally they will be staying for more then 2 hours or so.
Asking Ivan to help choose a group to seek for their assitance? No response or idea came from him. In the end, it was me that go forward to a family. And seek for their assitance to look after our things. I told them that we will be going for a swim, and then we will leave our clothing under the tree next to them. They agree to help us keep a look out, then we "strip" in front of them. Then we proceed to the beach to swim, we did around 1k of swim.
Whats the feeling after swimming there?
1) Salty feeling on my lips.
2) Itchy round my body. Felt like something biting on me -_-, bad experience last time when i swim at ECP. With my group of friends went down to swim in the night, we felt something biting us. Then we just ignore it, but suddenly my friend really did catch the thing that was biting us. Small in size, a little transparent. Don't know what type of insect is that.
3) Quite tiring. Because as we swim, we are fighting against the currents.
4) So scary. Usually after wearing googles swimming in the pool. I can get to look around me, but this time round. I dont know what is in front or beside me. ("unknown danger" - might be some jelly fish around? or Glass might cut me? or ......
5) Lastly, i think it is rather cold swimming in the sea comparing to the swimming complex.
After our swim, we proceed get back our things. And thank the family, then we proceed to take our slow stroll back to mac. Then from there we will head to the bus stop, and take bus to Delta to continue our second round. As we are strolling back to the ECP Mac, we saw lots of babes. Especially those roller blading (^_^"), in my head still have 1 red bikini. She was wearing short shorts, then her top was a loose loose white "shirt". While she skate you can see her red bikini inside. Beach girl impression, not many Singaporean have her this type of figure and dare to wear till like that. Too bad she had her bf skating beside her. Or else i believe there will be lots of guys surrounding her while skating -_-".
The bus journey is very long, almost felt asleep. When it is reaching Delta soon, then Ivan ask me if want to eat something first before heading to Delta. Then he suggested we eat Long John, after our meal. I decided that we should go home and rest, because i was feeling rather tired already.
Conclusion - I went home, never go Delta swim.
