CS (Part1)
New Friends - Kelvin
CS - Communication Skills? Nope, It is Counter-Strike. It is already a very old game, i already stop playing that for a couple of years already. Wondering how come i wanna blog CS up?
Why CS
It is because, last night Ronald call me up. He a friend i know from MHA also. He is from Police, at HSD (OTD). We know each other from breakfast, that time i mentioned before. At around 9am, my senior brought me down to canteen. From there i know quite a few of the NS boys both from POLICE and SCDF. He asked me whether i know how to play CS anot. Cos he need one more guy for his team. Then he just tell me nothing big, just a small competition. Thinking that it is use helping him out only, then i agree with him.
The Meeting Up
At first we set the time 11.15am, meet up and go breakfast together. But in the end he cannot make it. So we changed the time to 12.30pm, i was late at around 12.40pm. While i was on the train, he called me and told me. His friend will be meeting me, as he still got a lot of things to do. He asked for how i wear, i told him red T-shirt with jeans. Then after i reach the control station, his friend Stanley will look for me. Without fail, i step out from the exit a guy came up to me and asked: "Hi, are you Jimmy." Maybe there aren't much people wearing red on that day (not national day yet bah :p). After awhile 2 more guys arrive then we set off to the taxi stand. After reaching the taxi stand then i discovered. My friend Ronald is waiting there with a van, at that moment then i know he had his class 3 licenses.
Grandlink Square
After everyone got on the van, Ronald drive off. In less then 15 minutes later we reached Grandlink Square. After we reached, we gather with the rest outside the mechmaster (lan + pool + billard + arcade). Then the organiser brief us on what we need to do during the match play off. Then i act as if i do not know how to play, start asking the rest of the guys. What weapon to buy, what plan do they have.
Details for the game
1) 5 per side
2) Map - De_Dust
3) Total of 24 rounds
4) Playing 8 rounds against each Team
5) 8 round consist of 4 Counter Terrorist & 4 Terrorist.
(Counter-Terrorist - CT, Terrorist - T)
Let me explain briefly why do we need to change side. In Counterstrike there are lots of maps, this two starting all what they normally played - cs_ & de_.
- Cs maps, CT will try to rescue out the hostage, from the T base. They will click the use button, that will bring the hostage to follow wherever they go. If the person die, the hostage will remain at the spot which he dies. Then other CT members will have to find out where he die at to safe the hostage.
Counter to Win
1) Kill all Terrorist
2) Rescue the hostage, bring them the the hostage rescue zone.
Terrorist to Win
1) Kill all Counter-Terrorist
2) Prevent the Counter-Terrorist to save the Hostage.
(This does not mean you kill the hostage you win, T had to stop the CT to save the hostage in the round time. Round Time usually is 3/4 min.
- De maps, terrorist will try to bomb up the bomb-site. There will be two bomb-site, 1 is at the counter-terrorist base, 2nd one will be at a distance between counter-terrorist base and terrorist base. (The distance is roughly the same, there will usually be a firece battle in the middle which the CT meet up with T in the middle. Or can say the entrance for bombsite 2.
Terrorist to Win
1) Kill all Counter-Terrorist.
2) Bomb 1 of the bombsite.
(1 of the T member, randomly will be select to have the special c4 to plant at the bombsite. The bomb take 45 sec to explode.)
Counter to Win
1) Kill all Terrorist.
2) Defuse the c4 planted at one of the bombsite.
3) Guard the bombsite.
(It they plant the bomb after 45sec, it will not have enough time to blow up the bombsite.)
Back to the game, our group is 1.4. We did pretty well, to all the teams we did pretty well. Vs 1.1 our score Being CT 3-1 T 2-2, Vs 1.2 Being CT 3-1 T 3-1, Vs 1.3 Being CT 1-3 T 2-2. They were pretty good at chionging. We put up a tough fight against 1.3, they have very good team-work. During the game, there will be Empire walking around taking down the score for the matches at each side. After everything then i discover, this CS session is organised by a few cell group from City Harvest. My friend told me to join them after the CS, there will be 2 bus driving us to Pandan Valley. The girls are having their fashion runway competition there.
Pandan Valley
Pandan Valley is a Condo somewhere near Clementi there. At there i know a few more friends from Ronald, he from cell group W381 (W - West).
CS - Stanley, William, Bryan, Jeremy, Kenvin, Benedict, Adin.
Pandan Valley - Sheue Jing, Winnie, Selena (Nana), Bernice (Birdie), Pinkie, Brother Tan (Edmund, Cell group leader)
Birdie :p Haiz, she is the only one who talk the most with me, other then Stanley.
At there they have a short sing session, then one girl sharing her testimonial. After all this they have a small food session. After that just sit down chit chat, then clearing up. Off we go, take bus together to Clementi. Ronald didn't join me, he is busy helping out Brother tan clearing the things.
After reaching the bus stop, Bernice start chit chatting with Pinkie (Sobs, byebye). Then we guys start planning where to go for our dinner. We set off after saying bye bye to Bernice and Pinkie. Stanley, Jeremy, William, Benedict, Sheue Jing and me, we went to take trian. Benedict and Sheue Jing took the train towards Jurong East, they are heading home. The remaining 4 of us, we took the train towards the city. At first we are planning to eat at Suntec, but during our walk at City Link (at City Hall). We decided to dinner at Marina Square, while we are eating. Stanley told us, later there will be one more guy coming over to join us (Kelvin).
Dinner
After all of us have finish our food, then Kelvin arrived. He saw i am the only one eating (desert), then he ask anyone want desert together? Stanley then said, i thought you havnt had your dinner. After persuading him to go get his food. Stanley say he still need to get desert also, so is ok for him to get his food. While he is eating, they discuss where should they go after dinner. Then they come up with the idea to go for a movie. They asked me to join them, but i insist that i prefer to go home. Since it is still early, i join them to walk to the cinema. They want to see what are the available time slots for the shows.
After they take a look at the available shows, and what time are they screening it. They conclude, that there are no good show filming. So they decided to call it off, we head our ways back home. William & Jeremy walk different way as the 3 of us, we head towards the MRT station to take train (They take bus). At City hall Inter-change, Kelvin & I took the same way (towards Boon Lay). As for Stanley, he take the other side towards Woodlands. On train, Kelvin chat quite alot with me. He even exchange number with me ("-_-)
