Learning Seminar
Here are the roles to play for each of them in research + me to do.
1) DD Dr. Lal and 2AD Wee Cheng - entertain speaker/VIPs
2) 1RO Esther - usher Dr. Lai (Guest Speaker) / oversee registration / timecheck to call DS(P)3) SRO Lisa and 2RO Siew Ling - usher
4) 1SA Bobby - stationed at new guard house from 9.25am - 10am + photography at event
5) CO (Stats) Miss Loo and Jia Hao (Me) - registration
6) 2SA Stanley - "runner" a.k.a. hang around, in case. (I believe he is new, so need to learnt from Bobby and Me)
When i came i also handle a MA and Seminar myself, but i got learnt a little bit from there :). Seminar start at 10am, Registration starts at 9.30. I reached office at 8.15am, thinking they might need to set thing up in the morning. Because as usual they try out yesterday, and return the stuff yesterday. Cause we cant hold onto the items overnight. And heard from Bobby they will be going down at 8.50am.
Wao another heart attack i got, the Pranja. It need to communicate new the system, i control it behind the light system and the projector + screen. Can move down and on. But dont know why the mic Volume dont work, and the projector didnt project any image out. Wao very rush, i called up Mr Lai. I saw him around because Auditorium is having a Flu Pandamedic talk. Quite a big function from HSD, so he will be around to racky. He came and take a look and saw there is some light not on, on the system. Thinking that the plug might be spoil he go take another plug from CPG.
During the time he is gone, use pranja shut down and on again. But remembering that the projector just now i on, so i need to let it rest awhile before i can on it again. This time oning the pranja right in front of the system on the rostrum. The volume of the mic is working already, now the second thing is the projecting of the image from laptop. After awhile, i on it. Oh man, it is working already phew. Next thing that i need to do is, the wireless mic is still not working. Proceed to CPG changed another mic. Come back test, Hurray all done working le. It took me quite a while to get all this done. It is already around 9.40, and almost 1/4 of the people had arrive.
Now proceed back to my position at the door, my job is to tell the guest who just arrive to sign in at the registration table. Almost all had arrive, the talk begins. Wee Cheng was to lead the seminar, welcoming everyone then invite the guest speaker to talk. While it starts i believe she is too close to the mic, thats why it is very loud. Can see she is signaling to Stanley to ask him lower the volume. Finally Dr Lal turn back and signal to me to adjust lower. Go over and adjust to level 4, from level 5. It is fine....
Then after her introduction, the guest speaker proceed to speak. Then this time the Volume is too soft. Again i went up to switch it back to the max level, 5. But is still the same, because the speaker is moving his head left and right. Her mouth is not facing the mic, should have put two or three mic on the rostrum for her. Finally she found a better position on how the mic work everything is ok. My job should be done, before heading back to office. Remember the camera that i borrowed from Eugene, because Bobby say need to take photo. But he is not around to take, asking Esther, "never take photo?". She told me to help her snap some shots.
So i did snap a lot of shots, but only some are the ok ones. Because the camera i think got something wrong. Quite a few image are blurred wans. After that i went back office, and thats the end of story for Learning Seminar. Clearing was rather easy, take down those things that we borrow and return it to CPG.
