Career Talk
My Future?

Its been so long, that i never update my blog. Now already coming to the end of Feb. Keke, lazy me!

Lets get to my topic, Career Talk? Havnt even serve 1 year of NS, so fast go for carrier talk? Our SD, requested all NSF from SPD. Must attend the talk, he even drop a email to the Deputy Driector. And then the Deputy Director to Assitant Director, then finally to us (NSFs). Because the email is being forwarded, i scroll down to see whats going on :p Talk so much of the rubbish about just one email. Bo bian, email must be read carefully. I don't want to miss out any important message and get myself into deep shit again.

At around 4pm, i went down to level 3 Game Room which the carrier talk is being held there. There was around 15 NSF in the room. When about all the NSF had reach, the talk begins. It was a lady speaker, so i will just call her is She ba :p (Forgive me, i forget her name already) What i know is, she speak very smooth and very well.

She start a brief explanation about what is this career talk for. And start a small introduction about ourself. The Ice-Breaker is, each have to speak up, Our name, Department, ORD which year & month and lastly what plan do we have after ORD.

After our short introduction, then she proceed to talk about Skills. "Skills" what skill got to do with our carrier. Skill for example means : Editing, Fixing, Photographing, Imagining, Serving, Helping, Reporting, Filing, Teaching and so on .... There are many different type of skill which we can use for our future career.

Part 1
As for me i circled Delivering, Learning, Typing, Calculating, Helping, Reading, Filing, Keeping, Teaching, Training, Working. You will think thats pretty alot, but i also not sure what i circled, do i have that type of skill in me :p Just a feeling that i would like to use those few types of skill IF i have them in me.

After this she proceed to, tell us to group them to Very Competent, Adequately Competent and Little or No Competence. I believe the meaning of Competent means does i have those skill. So i rate my circled skill into:

Part 2
Very Competent : Nil [I believe i dont have skill which i am good at :( ]

Adequately
Competent : Typing, Filing, Calculating, Reading.

Little or No
Competence : Learing, Helping, Keeping, Working, Delivering, Teaching.

After the skill part, we proceed to discussing about our Interests you want to be involed in:

I rated my interest to:

Have a friend in Team SIngapore (Bowling)
Hope to represent Singapore or win lots of trophy and medals or break world record to swim around the world.

2)Animal Care & Welfare
Don't know anyone in this industry :(
Help SPCA, to nab those people who tortue or disabandon their pets

3)Accountancy
My cousin was currently and accountant at Land Transport Authority.
Accountancy is a job which many company required.

4)Child Care
Don't know anyone in this industry :(
I like kids, seeing them smile or happy. Will help to brighten my day, and make my job a happy and enjoyable one.

5)Hospitality
Don't know anyone in this industry :(
Interesting Job, with alot of post to choose of. Might get a chance to learn different language.

Follow up, we came to Circle my WANTS
"A satisfied worker is a happy worker!" In your career choice, finding satisfaction at work is important. After all, you will be spending a substantial amount of time at work.
