Chinese New Year
Hong Bao + Majong + Poker
Once again it was Chinese Lunar New Year. A day which young adults, teenagers and children enjoy most. Enjoy what? Hong Bao !!! lohz :p
Just 1 week before Chinese New Year, i shopped 3 shirts and 2 pants from G2000. Thats was around $250 le. Why bought so many shirts and pants? It is because, i still have 1 year 3months more at MHA. And there will be some events or meeting, which will get to see the "Big Shots". So better have some formal wear on standby, thats why i thought of buying G2000 shirts and pants.
It was rather funny, this year chinese new year i bought long sleeve shirts and pants. 1 year ago i bought short sleeve shirt, unformal kind. 2 years ago i bought pain color long sleeve shirt. 3 years ago i bought polo T. I wonder next year what will be on my mind, (singlet :p).
Back to Chinese New Year, as usual. We woke up in the morning then. My bro and sis are watching tv and as for me. My usual switching on my computer don't know doing what. We eat breakfast then, we set off to my dad's god-mother house. This routine is quite new, only start last year. Usually Chinese New Year, we hang around at home then around 1pm - 2pm. Then we will set off to Grandpa's house, thats where all my Uncles and Aunties gather.
But since last year we then start to go dad's God-mother house. I also dont know when he has a god-mother. So after we finish going our dad's god-mother house. We set off to Grandpa house. At there we sit around chit chat. Then my bro and sis, go play with the other little cousin Blackjack their bet range 20cent the most. As usual i was waiting fot the adult group to start their poker which is minimun $1.
But again, starting from last year Chinese New Year. They did not play Blackjack like last time. Which almost all of my uncles and aunties will join in playing blackjack together. This time as usual, like normal Saturdays. They took out the majong table and started playing majong. Because Blackjack this game, if your form is good. You can win money very fast. But once ur form is bad all can be gone very fast. So better to play majong and use brain to win money. Although it still will depend on your luck, but if your luck is not there you can also lost. But you can control your lost by trying not to discard and tiles for others to game.
But my Da jie, suddenly asked me whether i wanna play majong with one of my aunties, her mum and her. Then i told her dont want lahz, her mum and my aunty so professional. Sure lost money de. Then after awhile Dajie, Xiumin, Xiuyun and me, we start to played majong. All are my cousins no seniors playing. But we each have a jun si (teacher) behind us looking and guilding us how to play.
We played very small, because Xiumin and Xiuyun. Both do not know how to play, this is just their second time. So we played the bet of 1 Dai 10cent, 2 Dai 20cent, 3 Dai 30cent, 4 Dai 40cent and 5 Dai 50cent (5 dai is the max, no 6 Dai and so on). We played this through the afternoon till the evening, when we eat our dinner then we stop.
After our dinner the Aunties take over the table, they start their normal game. And as for the four of us, we have nothing to do. So Dajie (Hazel) and me start to learn "Bridge" from Xiuyun & Xiumin. After we know how the game is being played, we played through the night till around 1am. Thats the time the Aunties finish their 2 round of North South East and West.
Thats all for the first night of Chinese New Year.
