"IDG 4"
Tiring Day
Wondering why suddenly pop up one IDG 4, and never hear me talk about it. Because IDG 4 is game of Badmination. Each team need 6 people, Bobby ask me to help him collate see who wanna play the game. Because he is helping to cover library, inderjit the Librarian is on leave. This Inderjit is real power, i wonder she is working 3 or 2 days per week. 1 month i sure will see the boys help to cover library at least around 8 days.
Her excuses are on leave if not on leave then it will be on MC or hospital appointment. What i heard from my department people say is, she is rich. She can survie without this job. Just at home too free, so pick up a job to work as pass-time. Ok let me come back to IDG 4, on 22nd of Nov 05 Bobby go cover library. And i help him sent out a mail to all SPDians. Asking them who wanna join the IDG 4, all of them saw my mail. But no one reply me, ... So i told Anderson and Bobby about it.
Wondering why Bobby so kpo? Lolz, not he want wan. I heard from him, someone pick him to be the SWC. Also not too sure what SWC stand for. Sought of the monitor of school days i think. Collate who wanna take part in what activities, and then sumit to the one in charge. Then i heard from Anderson that he already have a group of 4 people : Andrea, Zhi Yang, Ivan and him. So i just need to get 2 more, and it will be a team. Went asking around 1 more time, then persuding my boss to play. He check his scdule, and nothing on it. He say ok, then need 1 more. So i ask Anderson who else to call.
He suggest Vincent, then he go force him to play. So we got the team of 6 and i was not in it. But who know my boss's boss, yesterday told him (Kok Eng). That he will be attending a Seminar, and want Kok Eng to go along with him. Then Anderson pick me to replace him, since he is my boss. ... So today early morning i went in search for my racket, and almost turn over the whole store room. Then i came well prepared, dont get me wrong. Well prepare in the sense of got racket and extra T-shirt to wear during the match.
Nothing much, i am not excited or overjog to play badminaton during office hour. Because i saw FD side and POD side play badminaton before. This two team will most likely be the top 2. So i also didnt expect much from this IDG 4, just play for fun can liaoz :p So the organiser began to pick for the knock out match. POD1 Vs FD, POD2 Vs SPD and HSD Vs HRD. We have a extra team T & I, as for the odd number team they are pick to go to Semi-Final.
The match begin 6 per team, at first we thought each playing 3 set. But the game goes like this - 6 per team = 3 team. And each team represent 1 set. So which department won 2 side = Victorious. The POD1 Vs FD match i can say is the best of all the games. first Pod1 won the middle court then FD won the first court. Then the winner will be decided in the last court. The score was tight and POD1 won. What a game, 2 per side Zhi Yang with me, Andrea with Ivan, Vincent with Anderson.
Zhiyang and Andrea side win, so we make it to the semi final. Watching the third match being played, we hoping that HRD will win. Because they have a team with 2 girls. Then it really work out, the girl win n HRD win with 2-1 sets. It time again the draw lots, luck seem to be on our side. We being pick to play with HRD first.
These mean much easiler, if we win this 2nd is our. If we lost we still need to work hard for a third. And we won again myside and ivan side. Then we make it to Final, and we got 2nd place :-) End of IDG 4 with 2nd place.
