IDG Laser Quest
Fun Day
It is just the 5th day I am at MHA serving my NS here. Yesterday they asked me whether do I want to play IDG ( Inter Department Game) Laser Quest. Then I said I never try before, how is the game being played. My senior (Desmond) asked me, “Do you know how to play C.S, or Arcade those shooting games”. I said I try before, then he said ok it is real easy just like those games. Then without letting me think much, my name was being entered into the list.
Today the Laser Quest will be starting at around 1.30pm – 2pm. It is being played at CDANS at Bukit Batok. So at lunch time those of us who are going to play the IDG, went to TTS to have our lunch there. After our lunch we head for CDANS. We reach there around 1.30pm, there were 11 of us at first should have 14 of us. 5 Per side 2 sub each team. But due to some work need to be done, we only have 11 of us. So we will have 2 teams and 1 sub. SPD Team 1 from left to right [Shihua, Bobby, Kok Eng, Desmond (My Senior) and Shih Chun (Our DD)]. Then in SPD Team 2 from left to right [Me, Elaine, Zhi Yang, Meng Kiat and Sook Bee].

You must be wondering we wear that thing for. It is part of the game, the vest and the gun. At the gun front, gun side, front pad, back pad and our shoulder pad. This are the spots for our enemy to aim. When the enemy hit the part, you will feel a vibration for around 3 sec. And also your gun will be freeze, consider dead or being shot. Behind our gun, there is a indicator, showing - who shot you, who you shot, how much points you scored. When you hit opponent you score points, but when being hit by opponent. There will also be point deducted, -3point, -4point and -5point. But the instructor do not want to tell us which part minus how much points. But I suppose hit by the back -3point (Reason Backstabbed), hit front pad -4point (Reason Easy Target) and hit on the shoulder pad and gun -5points (Reason Hard to aim such a small target).

Lets talk about the game, both our team did pretty well. Both make it to the Final, remaining we have 3 team fighting for 1st 2nd and 3rd position (SPD 1, SPD2 and POD).
SPD 1 was the first team to play with POD in the final. When the game end, I saw my senior walk out angrily. We ask him why, he told us, “POD such cheater, 2 or 3 of them kneel down at a corner. Then obvious they are cheating their leg cover the front pad, and the back pad facing the wall. Only left with the shoulder pad for them to aim. Not only this, he even mention they play very roughly. When you are aiming some of them, they run (We are not suppose to run in this game, too dark might bang or fall) towards you instead of walk or hide and push your gun away (my senior kanna 1 push the gun towards his head). And the cheaters did it they won.
2nd round is SPD 1 Vs SPD 2, we went in instead of hiding here and there. We stay close to each other and let SPD 1 guys shoot us. Lolz, save energy. Because SPD 2 will be facing the cheater next. After we came out and look at the score, WAO SPD 2 all have negative points :p Here we go again SPD 2 Vs POD, 1 of the lady was feeling tired and our sub was feeling tired also. Because our sub Siew Ling, she just now helped SPD 1 take over Shihua (Tired? I saw her camp at the same spot almost whole of the game or can say at least half of the game standing there :p) in two of the game. So Desmond take over her, then we proceed in for the battle :p

The game start, ya is true what my senior said. There was 2 lamer at a corner, 1 kneel down leg covering front pad. Then the other was only half body out, front pad the wall covering almost everything up.See such lamers, haiz aim them 3 time only manage to hit them once. And let them shoot twice. No point carry on aiming these two lamers. I proceed in, hunting for the other 3. … Fantastic the other two guys were cheaters, running instead of walking. Two lamers and two cheaters … … Perfect cheating tactics. Another thing which my senior said appear to be true also, when I am walking around hunting for my prey. One of the guy pop out, he use his gun push away my gun and aim on my front pad. … Haiz, so rough : ( not gentleman.
But at the end of the game, a shocking result we get. SPD 2 win the lamers and cheaters. The organizer is trying to work out on the 1st 2nd and 3rd position. The POD complain about Des, they say we cheat Des play for both teams, which he shouldn’t had. Haiz no point arguing with them, we Da Ren Bu Ji Xiao Ren Guo. We let them get 1st and SPD get both 2nd and 3rd position. CHEERS !!!
Time to go home, we join this IDG to get home early then office hour. But didn’t expect to go home later then that … Why we have the thought of leaving earlier? It is because we treat losing the game as a consolation prize of going home early :p I squeeze into Zhi Yang car and sent Siew Ling home first, because she stay somewhere near Bukit Batok, at Yew Tee. Then Zhi Yang drive the rest of us (Me, Kok Eng and Des) to CCK MRT. From there I take MRT back home.
